OK those of you that know me know that I Love snowbird! It is basically a haven for me! I love that the Lord can create such a beautiful place for me to enjoy that is only 10 min. from home!! This year was no different in the beauty and entertainment!

Saturday! Trent, Tiffany, and I came up for a night of fun! We brought Chinese food for dinner and enjoyed eating it, while listening to my Grandma's stories!

We decided to take back a cart that my grandma had brought up and of coarse we had to climb in it and take pictures!

We also went on a walk! Trent played on the play ground for a second! I took them up to see the carpets at the Lodge! We sat up at the cliff lodge looking over the edge at the carpets! Which made me quiet sick this year! Man, am I getting old!

We ended the perfect night at the hot tub enjoying the relaxing heat! It was way to much fun! I am so glad that both Tiffy and Trent came! I love being with Trent but having Tiffy there made it so much fun! I am glad she could put up with Trent and I!!

To Take the JOB...Or to Not Take the Job!!!

Well I have come to a point in my life where my Job just won't suffice in the Education world! SO I looked into getting a part time job at a preschool! I applied at Kinder Care by the U of U!

During the interview they talked about the full time job! and the Part time! Well the full time job would allow me to teacher preschool of the 2 year olds class based on a curriculum! I am way excited! They would pay me a dollar more than I am getting paid now, plus benefits if I wanted, and the topper...come fall when I have to take my internship at the U of U they have worked with my internship director Heidi Baker and are allowing me to do my internship through them (Kinder Care) getting my 6 credit hours and getting paid!!

This job seems too good to be true!!

Well today I received the Job offer! I am really excited and think that I am going to take it! They only down side is that the hours are 7am to 4 pm!! and those who know me know I am not morning person!! SO this is going to be my challenge! I am really excited but really nervous to tell my current boss!! The preschool wants me to start June 30Th! So I have to tell the TOPHAMS TODAY!!

I have had No bad feelings yet! So I am going to trust the Lord and my decision and go for it! Man will this be a change in pace in my life! But I am super excited to have a class of two year olds!!

One Right Turn, One Orange light, One Cop, and $82 Later...

Well just to satisfy the curiosity of some of you...here is an update on my adventures of running an ORANGE light!!

I called the number on the citation ticket on June 5Th! They said they had not received my citation yet! She then proceeded to ask me where I received the ticket! I told her the address and she said I needed to contact the Holladay District Branch! So I called them and they also said that the citation was not in yet and that I should give it two weeks!!

Well I called again yesterday, June11, to the Holladay branch! She said it was not in yet and to call in another week! So I hung up the phone and decided to call her back and make sure I was calling the right Branch! I gave her the address and it turns out I WAS NOT!! 3900 s. is half Holladay and Half Salt Lake depending on if you are on the North or South side of the Road!

SO I called the Salt Lake District. He was not very nice and he notified me of the bad news that it was $82.00! I paid by Credit Card never to worry about it again! I HOPE!!!

SINCE WHEN DID YOU HAVE TO CALL TO GET THE TICKET???

THE BLAZE!!

Monday June 9Th 2008! Trent and I were able to go to the Blaze game! It was so, so much fun! My brother ended up having 6 tickets! We gave two to Trent's brother and sister in-law, Danny and Molly! They joined us later on in the game!

If you haven't been to a Blaze game it is something you have to do! The Arena Football League is such a cool sport! I was impressed by the stadium! For those of you that don't know the field is only 50 yards wide! It makes for a very quick paced game! I loved it!

My favorite part were the Blaze Gymnasts! Instead of Cheerleaders they had Gymnasts that would just do all kinds of flips and things! At one point they did front flips over a small fire truck with people standing on it! It was pretty impressive!

It made for a fun night! I especially enjoyed a night out with Trent!

The MG's... The Core CLICK... My girls that got me through 2 years!

Ok...well I became a facebook junkie about 2 years ago! I wasn't addicted until I found the most amazing group! "Waiting for a Missionary!" You would think that these girls are nerds, sketchy, obsessive, weird, and so many more things! But Honestly these girls are amazing! The girls are from all over the world! London, China, and I think we cover every State in the US! We even have a few guys! I was kinda wierded out by that at first but Marshal became one of the MG's!

I have met 5 of my best friends through this group! I mean you girls the CORE CLICK!! Annika, Cassi, Emily, Kellie, and Megan! No particular order just alphabetic... because you all mean the world to me! I can't thank you girls enough! You pulled me through some of the hardest times! Thank you so so much!!

We have had so much fun together! WE officially met each other in September 2007! WE had an MG get together at my house where we talked about our boys, how long they have been gone, how we met, etc.! I love playing with these girls because there is no judgment, they know what you are going through and love hearing you talk about your missionary!

Since September we have been inseparable! We have had a monthly get together doing fun things like gift exchanges, scrapbook expo., Rodeo(which I missed :( ) and now We have weekly scrapbook night! Which at first we really scrap booked and I got Trent's book done upto his 9 month mark! But now it is more a Cafe Rio dinner and gossip night!! We just love being together!!

Even though Trent is home I still try and go to the weekly get togethers! These girls crack me up! I am excited for a day in July when MG's from all over the world are coming to UTAH to meet each other!!

I love my Parents!

Last Friday I had a major scare in my family! It made me realize how grateful I am for my parents and how much they do for me! I think that the saying is true, you never realize how much something means to you until it is almost taken away!

I just wanted to publicly THANK my parents for all they do for me! I don't know where I would be with out them! Actually I do! I would probably be in the lowest point of my life! They are my rock! They lift me up when ever I fall! I look up to them as examples!

To my MOM! I honestly want to be a mom like you some day! You are so strong and keep on pushing forward even when you are so tired you can barely keep your eyes open! I love you so much! Your spirit is strong! Mom, you probably don't realize what it means to me to see you sitting at the counter reading your scriptures or asking us to come for family prayer! That example in my life has changed every move I make. I love you dearly!

To my DAD! HAPPY FATHER'S day!! I know it is early! But I also know that you won't be here to celebrate with us! I love you so much! Thank you for being one of the most humble people I have ever met! The fact that you are so Christ like brings me closer to the Lord when I am by your side! You sure scared us Friday! I am so grateful it was something little! I don't know what I would do if you weren't in my life! I can't tell you enough how much I love and appreciate you! The way you treat Mom with love, Like a Queen, makes me want to find someone just like you to spend eternity with! Your example and strength holds our family together! Thank you!!

To My parents! Thank you for having such a loving and open home! I am so grateful that you make our house into a home! I am excited for the day I will get to bring that same love and spirit into my own home! I appreciate the work you put into the home! Thank you!

I couldn't ask for more amazing parents! I love you both! THANK YOU, THANK YOU! I can't say that enough! Thank you! Love you!

Feeding the Hundreds...

This weekend I had the opportunity to serve in my calling! For some reason they love putting me and my partner Brandon over food! Friday evening Brandon, My mom, Jennifer, and I went to Costco! We bought 2 boxes of grapes,3 watermelons, 3 cantaloupe, 3 boxes of Bisquick 4 6packs of OJ, 7 packages of precooked bacon, 10 gallons of milk, 72 eggs, and 140 water bottles . We planned on cooking breakfast for 150 people of the Holladay 4 singles wards!

At 7:30am we were to meet at the ward house to prepare breakfast! I arrived at 7:50am after buying ice! My partner Brandon wasn't there yet! I wondered if something was wrong! He is usually the one waking me up because I am late. The H-4 co-chair Graham said he had called him and text him with no answer yet! So we began to cook breakfast! I cut up 2 watermelons, and with the help of many other members of the service committees we cut up 3 cantaloupe, made 2 boxes of Bisquick (which makes 310 pancakes), made a giant orange water jug of OJ, and 3 packages of bacon!

8:30am rolled around and people began to show up! The 150 people turned into about 60! Not a milk was opened! and we had lots of extras! Luckily one of the service projects was taking food around to the elderly! So they took 8 gallons of milk, and 4 packages of bacon! The extra fruit was takin across the street to the Olympus Cheerleaders working hard washing cars! and the rest was divided amongst the service committees!

All in all it went well! Defiantly not as stressful as cooking a full dinner for 600! I love the feeling after serving! It is such an awesome calling to have! I feel like I get all the rewards from it!

Oh Brandon finally arrived at 8:20 am! He had slept through his 6:30 am alarm and had been woken up by his brother! By the time he got there we were all ready to go! We gave him a hard time the rest of the morning! He was a good sport to put up with our teasing! He is the best partner in "service" crime to work with!!

Life in the MAKING! !
