Here are 30 date night ideas that you can do at home!

1. Have dinner in the backyard, patio, or your front lawn.

2. Re-watch the first movie you watched together.

3. Don’t cook and get your favorite take out.

4. Have a theme night. You must dress, eat dinner, and watch a movie with the same theme. Think ‘Western’ and dress like a cowgirl, eat bar-b-que, and watch Tombstone. Think ‘French’ and put on a black and white top, make French onion soup, and watch Amelie. It could be anything!

5. Put a blanket down and picnic in front of the TV.

6. Make a special dessert to indulge in. Bake chocolate chip cookies and right when you get them out of the oven put vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce on top. Even making brownies from a box can warm up any night.

7. Take a shower and get dressed up to go out, but stay in. One night I even put on my dress from my prom. I would never wear it out now, but I still love it and wore it on a night in.

8. Snuggle on the couch and watch a movie. I (heart) my Netflix queue!

9. Try to beat your all time record. (This was my husband’s suggestion for the list.)

10. Wear your old bikini that you would never wear in public again, because your stretch marks glisten too brightly in the sunlight! Ha. Your husband won’t care and will love you in it.

11. Break out the board games. Play it so that the loser has to do the dishes or even a fun strip version.

12. Wear your favorite lingerie under your normal clothes. Better yet wear none underneath.

13. Sit outside and read together.

14. Have a candlelit dinner in the dining room you rarely use.

15. Make a mix CD or playlist to enjoy throughout the evening.

16. Dance! Make room for our own private dance floor and have fun. Don’t worry, no one is watching you dance like Elaine Benes.

17. Write out an invitation card to your date requesting their presence at the VIP Lounge of your private nightclub.

18. Splurge on delicious cheeses and add fruit, crackers, and wine.

19. Make out during the DVD menu music.

20. Give each other a back rub.

21. Share your favorite dating memory with each other over dinner.

22. Set out candles around the room. (I know this is an old idea, but it is really nice to do once in a while.)

23. Dress as a character from a movie and you pick the character for each other (think Tom Cruise inRisky Business).

24. Work out together. Set up a circuit in the garage or in the back yard with a jump rope, dumbbells, push-up, and sit-up stations.

25. Cook together and try a new recipe for dinner or for a cocktail.

26. Go to bed early together.

27. Play video games together.

28. Watch a sports game and eat stadium food like nachos and hot dogs.

29. Set up a pair of chairs and stick your feet in the kiddie pool.

30. Make breakfast in bed for dinner and watch TV.

I love my MG's! They are the most amazing girls! We were all thrown into a group where we met and instantly became best friends! Most of us have our husbands to thank for serving a mission. I look up to each and everyone of these girls. They have been there for me through hard times, fabulous moments, and moments that you don't realize how much you needed someone. Each one of these girls has a special talent that I look up to. They are hard workers, lawyers, cheerleaders, career women, mothers, friends, selfless, caring, students, spiritual, writers, beautiful, amazing young women! I can't believe that I am so lucky to have them in my life!

So my friend Annika was asking about the teaching market and if it was worth going to school for. Well it got me thinking if I could go back to school and pick a new degree, I think that I would still go through school for Early Childhood. As my friend and I walked out of class today we both were saying how much we wished we could start over and take all the new classes they have developed for our program. It is amazing how much I have learned.

So future career goals...

* I really want to develop a book with centers that are easy to make for early childhood teachers.

*Open my open preschool.

*Help future teachers fall in love with the profession.

*Go to nail school (ha ha always been a dream of mine)

SURPRISE!!!

My mom decided to throw Trent and I a graduation party the day before our graduation. But the real surprise was that my sister Heidi and her family drove in from California! I was so excited to see her I started to cry when I saw her. It was such a surprise! The best surprise ever!

THE BIG DAY!

The BIG Day! Started off with a bang! Well more like a push! I arrived early to save seats for my family and of course I got yelled at by so many people because I was saving 25 seats! or 1 1/2 rows! Well this amazingly rude Indian man came in the row and I told him I was saving the seats. He told me that I couldn't save the seats and that they weren't mine to save. I told him I arrived early to save them. He said he would get security to move me. He then proceeded to push me out of the way and sit on the seats. I should have gotten security for him putting his hands on me. I started to cry because he was so rude. The people in front of me stood up for me and then this other lady got up and yelled at the man for me! He final got up and moved. I am not sure what she said to him but she was definitely my hero! Finally my family arrived! Tears printed on my cheeks I could finally take a deep breath!

The ceremony started and was short and sweet! Unlike the human and development ceremony that seemed to go on and on forever!

SO I got this at Young Women's tonight and realized how much confidence I have lost in my self with the whole weight lost thing. So I am accepting who I am. Yes I am going to try and eat better and exercise. But I am not focusing on it any more. Lately I have been so unhappy and grumpy. I think that a lot of it is because I am focusing on my outer self and not on my inner spirit! So I am going to work on changing that perspective! and who knows maybe in the process I will lose a little weight. But for now I am who, I am and no one can change me!

My Wedding!

It was so fun this week to see my high school girl friends. I am sad that the death of my best friends Frances's mom, Dawn, is what had to bring us together. She was such an amazing strong willed woman. I am said that a medical mishap took her from us. I can only hope that one day I can be as determined and amazing as she was. May she rest in peace. I know that someday we will see her again.

But dinner with the girls was such as blast from the past. It was fun to catch up and see each other. I only wish we could have spent the whole night talking. I sure love you girls. It is crazy how distance can take a friendship and pull it apart slightly but when you are together again how easily conversation can come. I miss those nights staying up talking about boys, dreams, and what the future holds. Now that we have our princes, and our careers, our dreams we continue to make and fulfill. I miss you girls completely and only wish we could see each other more than once a year, or two. I wish it didn't take a wedding, a baby, or death to bring us together. I love you and wish I could see you more!

We had a really fun time bowling at Jupiter Bowl in Park City! It is seriously the coolest bowling alley i've been too!

MOAB!

March 22-24th

One of my amazing sisters Holly and her husband Chris invited us to go with them to Moab. I had never been and man was it an experience. The trip started with a routine traffic stop in Price Canyon. Yes we got pulled over! I am sure he thought we were going to be a bunch of teenagers out to have crazy fun in Moab. Ha ha did we surprise him. He gave us a warning and we continued on our way.

We arrived in Moab at about 10:30pm. Holly and Chris let us in their warm trailer and we went to bed. The next morning we woke up to rain. It only lasted a few hours and then it cleared. It was cold but we went out to ride on the rangers.

It was literally a real life INDIANA JONES! I was so amazed what we conquered. You would see a hill in front of you of rock that went strait up. Have no fear Christ drove us right up it.

There were 8 trailers of families that were in our camp. Their equipment for playing included; 8 rangers, 7 dirt bikes, 2 kids dirt bikes, many four wheelers, and lots of kids toys (aka four wheelers and sand toys!)

I love this picture! They both look so happy! I am pretty sure Trent was giddy this whole trip. He loved it even though he may not admit it outwardly.

Yes we drove up this! It is called the baby lion's back! This makes it look weak but it is pretty tough.

This is just a little example of what we conquered! This hill was strait up. It took 5 men almost everytime to sit on the front so that it did not roll over backwards.

My cute husband! He hates me taking pictures of him but I can't help but smily looking at this picture! HE LOOKS SO HAPPY! Which is hard to accomplish right now with finals, let alone in a picture!

Some of our midnight adventure! YES! it was pitch black the second you turned of the machines! I have never been so scared. But also never had so much fun! These men trust those machines to do anything, plus they know the trails like the back of their hands! It is amazing how fast the can go and how the know when to stop.

This year my family celebrated Easter early because Holly and I were going to Moab. It was so fun. My mom made us search for eggs because we don't have kids.

Personal Progress!

I am so excited to be working on my "Personal Progress" again with my Young Women. I have been such a slacker these past two years but I am working hard now. I love the new online program! It is so fabulous! If you have already earned your personal progress then you can earn what is called a Honeybee award. So that is what I am going for and redoing my "Personal Progress." My goals for the next to weeks are to work on my Divine Nature Value Experiences, and my Knowledge project. I am working really hard on working out and eating healthy. This is part of the project. I am also working on my Virtue Project which is reading the Book of Mormon completely, studying it as I go, and journaling my feelings. It is awesome to have something to be accountable for.

But I love crafts! I made this craft for my sister in-law Molly's birthday. It is so bright! but looks super cute on her table don't ya think!

THE BUCKET TOILET!

As if my classroom didn't have enough stuff! Now I have my own toilet on a bucket. Why you ask? Well back in October (?) we had a lock down for almost 3 hours. We did not receive bathroom breaks and the kids had to pee in a bucket I found under my sink. Not the best moment in my life. This is much much better! Hopefully I will never have to use it!

I am ready to lose it!

OK so not mentally! ha ha

But I am so ready to lose weight. I have been doing Yoga for 2 weeks now and yes I feel tighter but no weight has come off. I am such a immediate satisfaction person. I want so bad to see the pound come off the scale. I think our scale might be broken. I have been eating better and working out more and still nothing.

So here is my motivation! I want to plan a cruise in August. I think that this would be the only way to keep up my hard work. I did a 45 min. cardio work out today and it felt good but I started to get sick half way through. I kept going and finished the whole 45min. It felt good after but I still feel sick, like physically exhausted. So i've got to be able to with stand a long work out with out stopping. Hopefully I can keep up the work outs. I know that my body is tighter but I really want to see it on the scale.

Crafty Girls!

So a few of my MG girls friends have gotten into making crafts for your house! So I decided I would join in the fun. I went to Wood Connection and bought some really cute wood crafts for St. Patricks day. I made the Lucky sign prior to the craft party night and it turned out really cute! I am so excited to go get a SPRING sign and make to have up for April and May. Here are the two projects I have been working on. They turned out pretty cute.

This one is still drying. 12 hours later! The glue I used for the sparkles is not the best for glitter!

NEW POWER HOUR!

OK so as many people know in Murray District they have an hour (or in my case a 1/2 hour) of a teachers day that is dedicated to literacy learning. It is called "POWER HOUR." I am so lucky to have this time. I have 3 aids that come in and help me and my students to enhance their literacy skills. Well I have been following the direction of the other 2 teachers and doing what they did during power hour. But after talking to my principal I have completely revamped my power hour. I've been thinking about changing it since Christmas but I didn't know if I could. Some days I still feel like a student teacher that has to do as the other teachers say. But I don't! Not that the other teachers do not have great ideas and instruction, they just don't always work for everybody!

So we use to have 4 groups in which the students went to through out the week. But they only received 30 min. of instruction total on guided reading and spelling. So I decided instead of the students attending 2 of the groups a day they are going to go to 3 ten minute groups, giving them 40 min. of instruction in each subject each week. I am so excited to change it next week I hope it works they way I think it will and I hope I don't overwhelm the aids that help me.

I am also planning to redo my center instruction. I feel bad that my kids are being guinea pigs this year! But they are all so smart that I think they can handle it! I am going to try what another teacher suggested on her blog here is the poster board I am going to make.

The students are assigned their first group they have to go to and then they can choose between three others after they have accomplished the task of the first group. I hope that it works. I think that it eliminates a lot of the unpleasant paper work that they have to accomplish in the centers I am doing now! THANK YOU KELLY'S WEB PAGE! I love all the ideas you give me! Bad Day, Sad Day, Glad Day!

Today was both a hard day and a GREAT day! I was observed for the second time today by my principal. I was worried that it did not go well at all. She observed me during Power Hour, which is a small group process that kids move through. I have been frustrated with different parts of my power hour time and daily centers. One of my power hour aids is just not watching or taking care of her group. Therefore, I have to stop my lesson to discipline off task students. It is getting old. Today while my principal was observing me, she noticed the same things so now I have her on my side. Not that I didn’t previously but it just felt good to talk to her about it.

I hate being observed because I feel like I am not my best because I try to hard to be my best when someone is watching. I was not nervous before or during the observation. Things went okay. After as the students were leaving to go to recess and my principal was leaving I got extremely nervous that things did not go well. I realized that transitions took to long. Which I have always noticed but it doesn’t bother me too much. Basically, it put me in a bad mood and I was frustrated for the rest of the day.

Well after meeting with my principal after school, I WAS WRONG! She said I did great! We were able to talk about a few things that I was concerned with. (aka centers) She said my transition was forty-five seconds. I wondered if that was a good thing or bad. She said it was fabulous! Needless to say she raised my spirits after a long hard day!

Birthdaygraw!!!

Ha ha okay so my friend, who is kinda crazy, no offense Sam love ya! She plays this game called "Birthdaygraw." So starting the Thursday before your birthday and ending the Thursday after your birthday basically you can get people to do anything you want them to do for you just by saying "Birthdaygraw." I laughed so hard at this idea. She had her husband changing channels on the TV for her, her aunt buying her drinks, her mom paying for dinner, and more! Honestly funny! But it got me thinking! How often do people take advantage of their birthdays. I honestly have a hard time telling people it is my birthday because I don't really want the attention. But at the same time who doesn't want their birthday acknowledge. Now there is the whole facebook thing where everyone in the world knows your birthday. It is fun to hear from people of coarse but really how big of deal is your next birthday?

Well mine is pretty big. Not to be a hypocrite but I am turning 25! Yes TWENTY-FIVE! I can't believe I will be a quarter of a century old! It is kinda a big deal!

I am just thinking about everything I have done and I can't believe it! I have traveled to many of the states including California(a few hundred times), Hawaii, New York, Michigan, Illinois, Florida, Nevada, and probably more! I have been all over the world: London, Amsterdam, Paris, Zurich, Vienna, Salzburg, Rome, Florence, Mexico, and the Caribbean. In my 25 years I have graduated High School, gotten a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, and a Masters in Education. I have been teaching for almost a full year and been married for 1 1/2 years! I wrote my highschool sweetheart on his mission, married him a little more than year after he got home, and now enjoy watching movies with him everynight. I have watched my family get bigger! I have gained in-laws. I have a testimony that is strong and keeps growing. I am a Young Women's leader, even though I still feel like I should be in Young Women. I could go on and on!

But that's enough! 25 AHHHHH I think that I can use "Birthdaygraw" maybe once in my Week long festival!

Just Thinking

Well I have just been blog hopping and it has got me thinking! Why I am not the best writer? All of my life I have been a horrible writer. I think a lot of it is genetic ha ha no idea who to blame for that because my Grandma and my mom are two of the smartest people I know. Maybe it is because my mom helped and did a lot of my writing in jr. high and high school. It is funny because now as I am teaching writing to my first graders most of the time I am not even sure the correct grammatical order. Seriously my grammar needs work. I am glad that I don't use were and was interchangeably because that drives me crazy, "was you going to do that?" oh come on we don't live in hickville! Anyway I have decided the only way I am going to become a better writer is to write more. Which is always my goal on my blog, so here goes nothing.

Things I want to do this year...

I want to go on vacation so bad. A cruise would be way nice I am looking at cruises in August. It is sad that Trent and I literally have one week that we can go on vacation. I have to keep reminding my self that we have eternity to travel all the places I want to go. I so want to go to San Fran, New York, Seattle, Mertyl Beach, Mexico, Greece, Africa, Australia, and many other exotic places! My dream is to go stay at the Atlantis Resort in the Caribbean. I have always dreamed of going their since I was a little girl and I watched a show with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen in it. Oh man! I am such a cheese ball! Hopefully a vacation will come together for this summer!

I would love to buy a house but I know that, that is a major dream. Trent and I are really picky. We would love a fixer upper but would also love a move in ready house. Something we could live in but fix up as we could. One of the biggest problems is we want a yard. Most people do not want a yard so they are harder to find these days. We have walked thru a couple dozen houses and have not found anything quite yet. I am hoping someday soon the perfect one will pop up for us. I know it is all in the right timing!

I NEED to lose weight. I would love to lose 20-30 pounds. I know seems like a lot but that is about how much I have put on since getting married. I feel like nothing will work but part of that is because I am lazy and can't get my self to work out. I hate sweating which is a huge part of losing weight. So here is the goal I am trying my best to eat healthy and avoid all the junk food. I have started using a calorie counter. It really seems to help. I did not realize how many calories certain foods are. I am allowed 1200 calories a day. Which is nothing! I am struggling staying under 1500! I am going to keep trying. I am also trying YOGA which I really enjoy it stretches me out and I feel really good after. I know it is working my muscles cause man I am sore! I would love suggestions.

I want to start making more crafts and cooking more! I would love to discover some unknown talent of mine. I love to sew! I want to make something incredible like a quilt for our bed! Ha ha Not so incredible but I would love to actually finish a project. I really want to learn how to decorate cookies. I got a whole bunch of new recipes can't wait to try them out!

Things I need to do...

Finish school. I am so close I have only my final project this summer! I am so excited to be done and have a freaking Masters Degree! I can't believe that I have a graduate degree it seems so unreal. It is funny, because in movies it is such a HUGE deal but it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Although failing my comps was tough! YUCK! But i will be done in JULY! Hooray!

Deep clean my house! It is crazy how much stuff you can accrue in two years! I feel like I have piles everywhere which i know is not true but man does it feel that way. Somedays I wish that I was OCD about cleaning. I kind of am when it comes to dust! I hate dust and gross bathroom stuff! I just want to be better at organizing when I get stuff rather than putting it off!

I need to catch up with old friends I really miss my high school friends! I want to keep in touch more with Frances. She is like a sister to me and I miss her terribly. I want to know whats going on in her life! I have always had a hard time with friends and she has always been there for me. We have know each other since 7th grade. 12 years ago we met! I can't believe it has been that long! She is so incredible. I have always looked up to her. I wish that we still lived close enough that we could just play when ever we had a free minute. Man do I miss her. She always knew when I needed her and would call a the perfect time! I love you Frannie! My other girl half! ;)

I need to start being better at my visiting teaching. Every month I feel renew and gun hoe. But some how I never get to it! So that is a major goal of mine! Visiting Teaching HERE I COME!

Well Valentine's turned into a weekend affair for us. I figured I wasn't going to be able to spend to much time with Trent on Valentines because we both had work and Trent had school. So I decided to surprise Trent with a yummy dinner Friday night. Steak, potatoes, asparagus, carrots, and Italian Sodas. I gave Trent a box of popcorn for our popcorn machine! To surprise him I set up our projector and made a bed on the floor to watch a movie. We started watching "What Happens in Vegas" but immediately both of us started to fall a sleep. We decided to move upstairs and fell asleep at 9:30.

Saturday we were out washing the truck and decided to go to Training Table. It was so yummy! Then we went and say, "Just Go With It."

VALENTINE'S DAY!

I went and bought a Papa Murphy's heart shaped pizza! It was so cute!

On Trent's way home he went to 3 stores (Sam's, Target, and finally Smiths) looking for flowers for me. So sweet! He bought me beautiful pink roses!

I love having time to spend time with my love!

Here is what's been happening in the life of the Young's the past few months!

Happy Halloween! Well I choose not to dress up on Halloween because I had to dress up for school! So I borrowed my Mother in-laws Professor McGonagall hat! and Tiffany and I took a silly picture!

Our Last University of UTAH GAMES on the MUSS!

This year the black out game was against TCU! Well the Utes decided not to show up, but ESPN did! It was sweet to see all the fans there and ready to scream! Although it didn't do much good!

I loved going to U games this Year with my hubby and my little buddy Kjersti! I still can't believe that she is old enough to be in college! It was a fun year on the MUSS! It is sad to think it was our last! TRENT AND I ARE FINALLY GRADUATING!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL! Not the best picture in the world but we have to document Christmas morning! Next year I have promised my self I will take pictures of us opening presents!

Sweet baby Maddy was blessed while Heidi and Dave were here for Christmas break! It was so fun to see them! I miss them terribly!

For Christmas Trent's little sister Wendy gave the family a night's stay up at The Homestead in Midway. I had never been up there! It was so pretty! I loved to see the Swiss looking homes and the beautiful night sky which Salt Lake has not see in a while! While we were there we went to see the Ice Castles. They are so pretty! The guy said they were only half as big as they will be! We were able to see them at night and in the daylight!

Saturday Morning we went to the Blue Boar Inn for Breakfast! It was the best service in the world! I guess the manager is friends with Trent's grandparents! It is such a fun little Restaurant/ Inn. He took us on a tour and showed us the details that normal guests would not notice! I would love to go back in the summer and see it!

Well this has been a very eventful year! January started with a fantastic trip to Disneyland and Legoland with the Kinnersley family. Trent met up with us after Disneyland to go to Legoland. Not the most incredible of parks but very entertaining for little boys who love legos! It was a well-needed trip before school and work started again.

The spring semester started and Trent continued his full time schedule of both work and school. Trent received a job offer with in Zion’s Bank Corp. to move from the ATM department to the ACH department (Direct Deposits). Trent works between 40 to 46 hours a week. So far, he loves it! Trent loves working for Zion’s and they love him. They are continuing to try to move him up in the ranks. Which we do not mind at all!

Trent is working hard to finish his both of his degrees by Summer 2011. He is majoring in both Finance and Accounting at the University of Utah. This year he took 3 semesters of classes, each semester with at least 15 credit hours if not 18. School keeps him very busy. Most nights you will find him studying his heart out on our couch or with a group at the library. He is such a hard worker!

Trent was recently released from his calling of being the Elders teacher and was called as the Boy Scouts leader for the 10 and 11 year olds. They are a hand full but he is enjoying it.

In the spring, Natalie finished her full time student teaching at Grant Elementary in Murray School district where she taught in 3rd grade for 6 weeks and Kindergarten for 6 weeks. Third grade was definitely a challenge and Natalie realized that it was not the place for her. Kindergarten was fantastic and a place where she would love to work! After completing her teaching license Natalie went on to apply for jobs and finish her graduate degree in Early Childhood Education at the University of Utah.

Apply for teaching jobs was definitely a task. Rounding up resumes, letters of recommendation, transcripts, going to group interviews, job fairs, single interviews, and on site interviews kept Natalie busy. Natalie finally found her place as a First Grade teacher at Viewmont Elementary in Murray School District. She was hired in April and began working in August. Mean while Natalie worked at University Kids Preschool as their kindergarten teacher for the summer and attended 16 credit hours of school. She went on a field trip a week, took the kids to swim lessons everyday, played, studied, and played. University Kids was a fabulous job. She completed 2 years of service with their company in August. It was hard to leave but Natalie was ready for a new adventure. Natalie finished the all of her graduate course work hours except for three during her summer semester.

This fall Natalie started her first year of teaching. It took a lot of work to get her classroom set up! The first half of the school year was a success! Natalie has a fabulous mentor that has helped and continues to help her try to succeed. Natalie took her last graduate course fall semester as an independent study. She studied how music affected child in the classroom. It was a great experience. Natalie will finish her graduate course work in the summer doing the Early Steps tutoring program for her final project.

Natalie is still the MiaMaid advisor in their ward. She loved going to camp this year up at Thousand Peaks Ranch and playing with the girls every Wednesday.

Trent and Natalie had a fabulous time traveling and having fun this year. We were able to travel with Trent's family back to Trent's mission in Tallahassee, FL to see all the sights. We visited Panama City, Pensacola, Tallahassee, Florida State's Campus, and Dothan, AL. Florida is gorgeous. It is not just a beach like most people would expect. It is full of lush green trees and pine trees. We were able to visit several friends and families whom Trent served. It was wonderful to meet the fabulous people that he worked with. We met Trent's mission President, Pres. Summerhays on a lucky Sunday afternoon that he just happened to be home. It was an amazing vacation!

Trent and Natalie were lucky enough to go to the Larry H. Miller Motor Sports park with the Young's for the Motorcycle races. We loved watching the bikes almost tip over as the raced around the corners. It is Trent's dream to some day own his own Harley.

Trent and Natalie also traveled to Snowbird where we celebrated our first anniversary, Bear Lake, Heber Valley Camp, and Park City with family. It is so wonderful to get out of the city and enjoy the wonderful mountains of Utah.

It has been a wonderful year! We are excited to see what lies ahead in our lives! Thanks to all of our family and friends for your support and love! We are so grateful to have you in our lives!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Complements that came at the perfect timing!

OK so I had an emotional weekend losing all confidence in my self, in my teaching, my appearance, how I am as a friend, sister etc. Just one of those break down days. Well today I got the best complements from my principal. It made me feel so much better. She said that she went to her principal meeting this morning, and all the principals were complaining about their new teachers and how they are not living up to what they expected. Then she said she was so pleased with me and how hard i've been working. She has had now complaints she loves that I get along with the staff so well and that I am so willing to ask questions and always plan out things. She said she is so grateful I am part of her faculty. It was the perfect timing just when I needed it! I am so glad that I am teaching up to her expectations. I feel like I fall so short sometimes! I am just grateful that someone is watching over me.

It's funny because I know that the Lord had his hand in that. He knows when I need his help and I am so grateful for that. I am grateful that my principal listened to the Lord and choose to tell me her feelings.

Okay here I am being a horrible blogger again!

The sixth thing I am grateful is actually the number one thing that I am grateful for! That's my husband!

I am so grateful for an amazing husband.

I know Trent and I were meant to meet the summer before our senior year. Some how before that we had never seen each other at high school. Even though we hung out with the same crowds. Ever since we met he has mad me happy, made me laugh, and has been an incredible friend! I will never forget staying up late into the night talking on the phone about anything and everything! That is when I began to understand that I could spend eternity with this amazing man.

While Trent was serving his mission he was such a strength to me. I don't think he realizes that with out his support for those two years I would not be the person I am today! He was constantly telling me that he just wanted me to be happy no matter where I ended up in life! This in turn made me fall in love with him even more! Thank you Trent for your support and confidence in me!

Thank you for always wanting to date me and to take me on fun dates! This was at the bees game and the utah game! I love You!

He is such an amazing man and from the day I met him I wanted to be a better person. Now that we are married I still strive to be a better person everyday.

He is such an example to me especially in his work and school. He is such a dedicated worker and loves what he does no matter what it is. There is not a time when he is not busy at work. As of right now he is helping his Dad.

I am so grateful for his hard work at our home and at his work. On Thursday after a long day at work I came home and Trent had raked all the leaves and filled the garbage can. I was so happy. It was something that had been on my mind for a long time and I just hadn't had a warm day to do it. Trent is so amazing he goes to school at 7 in the morning and then strait to work. Usually not returning from work until 7:30pm to 8pm! He works such long days but is still willing to help in anyway.

I am so thankful that he is so generous. Trent would do anything for anyone that asks him. He is more than happy to share his hard working talents, his math expertise with my sister, and still help me at home. I am so grateful for his generosity!

I am so thankful that I have an amazing husband who can make me laugh, feel good about my self, and be my best friend! I know that we are bound to have an amazing eternity together!

Thank you for allowing me to be silly and being silly with me! I love you my silly goose!

I love him more than life it's self! He is such an amazing man and I am so so lucky to have him!

Day 5 or so!

Ok I am a few days behind! So today Monday Nov. 8th! I am so grateful for

SAFETY!!

Today was a pretty scary day at school. At about 1:45 we were just about to go outside when the Principal came over the PA system and said, "We are on lockdown everyone to their rooms." I had to get all my students out of the hall way and into my room as quick as possible. A few minutes later the principal came over the PA again saying, "This is not a drill, this is a real lock down! Turn off your lights and stay quiet!"

Needless to say we are all safe! There was a robbery in Sandy that ended in Murray with a ditched car. Here is the link to a short story about it...

It was pretty adventurous! Kids peeing in a bucket because we had not had a break for the bathroom since lunch. Candy for a treat. Hang man for two hours. Story time by Mrs. Young! Pretty silly stories. Finally at about 4:15pm parents were allowed to pick up their kids! This was an hour and 15 mins. after school!

I am just so GRATEFUL for an amazing class that was able to listen and sit quietly for 2.5 hours!

Day 3 & 4

Ummm still thinking!

All I can think of again is how grateful I am for my mom who brought me clothes. She went to my house (15 min. drive) got some clothes for me and then drove them out to my work (25 min. drive in rush hour!) You are so amazing mom! It made me feel so much more confident so that I didn't haven't to wear my 50's garb all night!

Okay but really....

Day 3

I am so grateful for a sweet class! I think your first year of teaching is hard enough. Having a difficult class would blow me out of the water. I have 24 of the sweetest students. I was spoiled by the kindergarten teachers when they put the class lists together.

I have a mix of every personality from sparky, to mellow, ADHD to spoiled, anxiety ridden to do it your self. Bossy to I don't care, Happy to melancholy, and perfect to stressful! The mix of personalities truly makes a perfect class.

Each day with out fail one of my student's gives me a picture that they have drawn, to thank me or tell me they love me! Even a student has moved to homeschool brought me a card a week later saying she missed me. I truly miss her!

Although I have a difficult time waking up in the morning ( I am so not a morning person) I love getting to work and seeing their bright eyes ready to learn. After all my parent teacher conferences it is a testament to the parents that they are doing a wonderful job. Maybe I am a bit bias but my class is pretty darn perfect!

Day 4!

Well a perfect class only happens when you have awesome parents! The parents that are involved in my class are amazing! They are so willing to donate and be apart of the room. The planned to whole entire Halloween party I was able to relax and enjoy the day.

They are so willing to give up their time. Each morning I have a different parent willing to come help read with the student's and exchange out books. This makes my life so much easier!

They are so willing to donate. I have had so many donation and I love that they keep on coming. I have been given, crayons, gluesticks, white board marker, ziplocks, tissues, hand sanitizer, clorox wipes, and much more! I can not believe how generous people can be.

So thank you to my amazing classroom parents who are so willing to share their time and talents with my classroom!

Day two of being THANKFUL!

I am so thankful for amazing supportive parents! After starting my parent teacher conferences where some parents don't really care how their kids are doing, I am so grateful for parents that worried about me through school, friends, church, marriage, etc.

So THANK YOU MOM AND DAD!

Thank you for raising me in the amazing gospel of Jesus Christ. I don't know what I would do with out the gospel guiding my life. Tonight in young women's the bishop talked about how we know who we are and what we stand for. I know that I am a daughter of God and that he loves me and I love him. I stand for truth and righteousness. I am so grateful that I was raised with this knowledge.

Thank you so much for supporting me through school. It amazes me how parents can give up so easily on children. I am so grateful that you helped pay for part of my college career. I would have never completed or almost completed a graduate degree.

Thank you for challenging me to be my best and my self. I know you may not know it but it is because of you that I have confidence in my self and what I do. You taught me that by your example. Dad you have always been so humble. Mom you have always been so incredibly smart and helped me to achieve higher goals.

Thank you for always standing by me when friendships were hard. I know I was not the easiest of teenagers. I was so emotional I don't know how you put up with me so thank you. Thank you for teaching me to seek for friends that were amazing examples. I am so grateful that you are my friends and that we can have that friendship. It's more than just being there as a mom and dad. So thank you!

Thank you so much for showing me what an amazing marriage looks like. I am so grateful I have you to look up to and lean on as a couple in love. I am so grateful I was able to find an amazing companion that will treat me the way I have always seen dad treat you mom. I am so grateful that you have a strong marriage!

Well a friend gave me this idea to write something I am thankful for every day of this Thankful month! So I am going to give it a try!

Today I am so thankful for a house to come home too. Today I had to stay at work extra long to prepare for parent teacher conferences. All I wanted to do was go home! It felt so nice to come home to my own kitchen, couch, bed, etc.

I was able to come home and cook dinner and make an apple crisp for YW's tomorrow!

I am thankful for a comfy couch!

A yummy popcorn machine! A Trent I am sure is grateful for a large TV!

I love the little things about having my own home. Decorating for one, I love decorating for each holiday. I love having my own washer and dryer. I did not realize how grateful I would be for a washer and dryer.

I love having a place that Trent and I can call home!

I look forward to someday buying our own home! But for now This is the perfect!

I am so thankful to be at home and not freezing on the street.

This year Trent and I were able to join the Young's up in park city a few times this fall! It was so gorgeous. We had so much fun riding the alpine slide and coaster! Researching for my comprehensive exams was ridiculous! This was only the books I checked out at the library! Not even the ones I had at home! I have never researched so hard in my life! I guess that is kinda the point for the final papers of your graduate degree. 3 papers, 14 days, 10-12 pages each! Pretty over whelming but I accomplished it! I hope they turn out okay. Here is to praying that I pass!

I feel like now that I finished I could accomplish anything! Thanks to my wonderful husband who put up with my emotions and messy house! Thanks to my kids for putting up with my tiredness. Thanks to everyone!

It was our first game of the season yesterday! So much fun we have awesome seats! The 14th row sitting next to the players families. No drunks around us! :) They let go hundreds of balloons in honor of 911. It was a pretty cool sight!

It was an awesome game. SO SO HOT!! I went out to fill up my water bottle at the drinking fountain and I was gone 20 min. I missed 3 touch downs. The utes were typical though! They didn't come to play until the end of the first half! But they definitely proved themselves with a final score of 38 to 13!

The best part of the game was sneaking my little sister down to sit with us! It was so fun to go to the game with her. I love that she is all grown up!

So I started this two weeks ago but didn't finish! ha ha oh well! I'll take pictures of my classroom tomorrow!

I can't believe I made it through my first week! I am extremely exhausted! But I love teaching! I left friday completely wiped as I know my kids were too, but I also left thinking I can not believe I get paid for this! Although we have not seen a pay check.

Monday started with all sorts of procedures! I started my day with a self starter book that had the kids thinking and getting ready for the day. The whole day we practiced procedures, getting up and down from the rug. How to tuck in our chairs, get our cubby stuff, and becoming friends. I continued this all week. Most of my day was helping the students get use to being their all day. It is such a big change from Kindergarten!

First day of SCHOOL!!

I can't believe it is already here! I am officially a real teacher! It has been a great two days! My kids are so cute. No one to really worry about yet! Every thing seems to be coming together. I feel out of the loop like I should be doing all these fun back to school projects. But my class is having so much fun! They built a unifix cube chain from one end of the room to the other today! It was so fun! Listening to them work together was amazing! and then at the end of the day I like to do a review of the day and one of the kids said we learned to work well together! YEE HAW! Talk about community!

Back to school night is Thursday, I am really nervous to meet their parents, but very excited!

I can't believe I really have my own class.

August 10th 2003!

Jump backward 7 years! Trent and I were just beginning our relationship. We had been hangin out as a couple and in groups since june when we met at Snoaisis a local snow cone stand. The day I met him I thought he was way to good for me. 2 months later Trent came over after Heidi's wedding. We cuddled on the couch, had a pillow fight and enjoyed time together. 7 days later I was leaving on a cruise with my family for 2 weeks. It was really hard to leave. We cuddled on the couch and finally Trent got up the guts to kiss me. That's a whole other story. I walked him out to his car and he kissed me again and gave me a CD for my trip. He told me not to listen to it until I was on the plane. Even though he claimed it was just a CD he had millions of copies of, some how I think he created it for me! :) Mean while I went on my vacation and the rest is history!

Fast forward 7 years! The morning of August 10th, I was getting ready(little to Trent's knowledge, he thought I was still asleep!) and Little to my knowledge it was a special day! Trent came up stairs with a full breakfast for me in bed! He is such a sweet heart! I can't believe I am so lucky to have him. We were able to eat breakfast together. He reminded me it was our 7th dating anniversary!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY my love! It has been an amazing 7 years! I am so excited for eternity!! Thanks for being so amazing and remembering our special day!

24th Tradition Continues on!

Happy 24th of July!

The classic Kinnersley family tradition continues!

Every year since I can remember my family has gone to the 24th of July parade and sat in front of A-1 Mowers our cousins shop and watch the parade. This year was the first year in about 3 that we have gone. My Mom, Dad, Kj, Me, Holly and her girls! It was so fun to watch the parade! My favorite part is the Police Motorcyclist! It was a shorter parade but still fun!

The Tradition would not be complete with out Wendy's cheeseburgers and Sprinkler fun at Grandma's! When we were little we use to take the Cheeseburgers to my Papa's house and eat lunch! The Tradition has moved to Grandma's! Everyone (except the Miners oh how we miss them!) was able to come! Trent even took a break from homework for a few minutes! It was so much fun to be together and especially to watch my nieces and nephews run through the sprinklers! Here are a few photos I captured! Sure wish I was awesome at editing! I would love to take a class someday! or if anyone would want to teach me I would appreciate it!

Ok so I know that people think the series is crazy, and people who love it are crazy, so call me CRAZY! I loved the movie! It was so well done! I love that Bella and Edward actually showed their love this year. The last two movies were disappointing because Edward was weird and Negative all the time! But in this one he really showed his love!

HOORAY!!

Well I can't believe it but it has been a whole year! It went by so fast! Everyone says the first year is the hardest, so if that is true marriage is going to always be amazing!!

It has been such a fun year! Starting with an amazing Honeymoon to Palm Springs, Work, School, I started and finished my student teaching receiving my teaching license. Trent switched jobs now 3 times all with in Zions bank Corp., I received a job Teaching in Murray School district teaching 1st grade. We traveled to Bear Lake, California, Florida, Park City, Snowbird, and hoping for more vacations. I am about to finish my graduate degree, Trent finishes school in one year, and most recently just working! It has been a busy great year! I keep thinking of all the movies we have seen. It is amazing how much fun we have had! It has been a HUGE year!

We had a great weekend! (minus me being really sick friday, and Trent having endless homework) Saturday we were able to be together! We went to Sam's Club which sounds boring but is time we get to spend together with no homework! We went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner! Can I say AMAZING!! I had never been there but it was defiantly tasty! We shared Bacon Cheese Fries, I had a New York Strip and loaded mash potatoes, while Trent had the Prime Rib and Mash Potatoes and Gravy! Yummy! After we went up to snowbird where my parents have a condo for the week! My parents were so nice that they gave us a private room and left us a buck with popcorn and some treats! Thanks Mom! It was so fun, we went hot tubbing with my little sister and her boyfriend and no worries, with a bunch of drunks that jumped off the 4th floor into the pool and were almost kicked out! We were able to sleep in (well at least I did!) We headed home and had a fun evening with Trent's family and then shared our year old cake. After unwrapping 4 layers of foil and 2 layers of saran wrap the cake white cake was yummy and still moist!! Not as great as the wedding day but still yummy!!

It was a great weekend and a great YEAR!!

I love Trent with all my heart and still can't believe I have this amazing man for eternity!!

We were so lucky to have the opportunity to go to the world championship of motor-cross racing at Larry H. Miller Race Way on Memorial Day!

Ok these men are asking for a death wish! They would do wheelies and hold them for ever! And then stop on a time so their back tire flew up behind them! So cool!

Speeds of up to 200 miles per hour! I wanted so bad to see a bike fall but no such luck on our corner! The sad part is they did crash often! It was cool to watch the whole group turn together their bodies moved like they were synchronized swimmers or something! Hey that could be a new sport synchronized motor cycles!

The ARMY had a really cool set up! They let us climb inside their vehicles! The door to a hummer is so heavy and the glass was like 3 inches thick!!

These helmets we so heavy! I can't even imagine wearing them all day! Your neck would hurt!

Ducati gave us all this free stuff it was awesome!

We flew into Pensacola Florida! A small city in the pan handle of Florida! At this point in time their beaches are closed because of the oil spill!

Just a short 4 hour drive to Tallahassee!

Trent served here for about 6 months! During which he hit a Raccoon with the car! Tearing off the Radiator! and ended up riding his bike miles upon miles into Tallahassee for meetings! Built a few houses and got to know the area really well!

Alabama is a crazy city with lots of farms, small shops on the side of the road selling boiled peanuts! Dothan actually surprised me how big it was! It seemed about the size of St. George from what I could tell! It was probably a lot bigger! Along the way we met some friends! Trent about killed me when I made him stop to meet all of them, even if it meant that he had to flip a U turn! He warmed up after the first few!

PANAMA CITY!

It is a cute beach town kinda like Newport Beach but with lots of luxury hotels and bleach white sand!

While there we found this fun little shopping mall that we ate in an outdoor BBQ Restaurant and did a little shopping! There was a little booth selling baby turtles! So cute! I wanted one for my classroom so bad!

It was such a blast to see all of Trent's mission! The little towns, here the southern accents, and eat yummy yummy fish! I would love to go back at any time!!

Yesterday was such a great day! My little sister Kjersti graduated from Olympus High school! It was so fun to share in the day with her. I can't believe she is done! That means all the Kinnersley's are out of high school and on to new adventures!

I am so excited for her to step into the crazy atmosphere of college! Sad that I am leaving just as she is joining but I guess that is how it always works!

Well Little buddy here is to you! CONGRATULATIONS! WE LOVE YOU!

Ok I have been thinking so much about all my MG girls advice on Saturday and my Sister Holly's advice (Little did she realize she was giving me some) and especially about how everyone portrays life the way they wish their lives were! How people talk themselves up to make themselves feel better! and How we should not look at other people and wonder how they are judging us!

We just need to look around and wonder if we are happy, on our own standards not someone else's!

and well can I just say!

I LOVE LIFE!

I LOVE THE MG'S!

I love the stress of school and how much I am learning!

I LOVE MY HUSBAND!

I love all the amazing blessing that we have in the gospel!

I LOVE MY FAMILY even though they are crazy and loud!

but it is like I am sitting at a stand still in time!

Ok so I probably should update more assuming that people are following! ha ha I know I am not that popular! But graduate school is breathing down my throat! I am just trying to stay a float this summer. I wish I could say I was floating at a beach or pool but nope just here at school. 16 maybe 18 credit hours! I am trying to figure out a way to graduate this semester but It is seeming very unlikely! So I am just taking every day one day at a time. Scheduling my life around homework and school and fitting the real stuff in some how.

All in all it has been tough but great so far! I will update June 23rd when my online class is over and I feel like I can semi breath again!

I am the newest first grade teacher at Viewmont Elementary in Murray District!! I am so excited!! I start next August! Not quite sure what to expect since I have never taught first grade but believe me I have lists upon lists of things I want to buy!

CAN'T wait to set up my classroom and meet my future students!

I am working with two other teachers that seem very nice!

My principal is new to the district and seems just wonderful!!

I am so excited to work with her!

AHHH Just so excited if anyone has some fabulous ideas or supplies they are no longer in need of like books, toys, board games, etc! I would love to have them!

The End...To a new beginning!!

Well it has been 2 weeks but I finished my student teaching April 19th! It has been so fabulous to be done! To relax get a little more organized! and start applying for jobs. I can't believe that it went by so fast. It seems like just yesterday I was freaking out that I wouldn't get into the program and here I am finished with it! So here is to a new beginning!

Here are a few photos from my kindergarten placement. My kids were hilarious and everyday I realized why I loved my choice of profession! I just can't wait to have my own classroom. So keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I look for a job! If you have any connects for getting me a Kindergarten job let me know!

So yesterday I was afraid I was going to seriously hate kindergarten! But today I realized how much I truly love those kids! There is so much I want to do to help them! I can't wait for my future classroom! I have so many ideas! My program director came in today and said to me "welcome back!" I was super confused until she said..."I thought we might have lost you in third grade" probably because I was getting depressed in third grade! I told her my heart is in kindergarten but third grade help me learn a lot about my self! I would love to work in a KINDERGARTEN CLASSROOM! I know that there are not a lot of jobs out there! So if anyone knows of any let me know and talk me up!! Please!

Mean while I am just waiting my time!!

Last day in 3rd Grade!

I can't believe it but today was my last day in third grade! These past 7 weeks (3months) went by so fast! I have really been in there since October! I love those kids! Today was the best last day! I was doing odds and ends to get everything together (making books of units that I made.) In the work room I was called down to my classroom. At first I was really worried that I was late for "Friday Fun" (which is time for those kids that have missing assignments to catch up) or that a student might be hurt. BUT the truth is my class surprised me with a DISNEY PARTY!! My site teacher knew how much I love Disney, she bought Princess Cupcakes and had old fashion Mickey Movies up on the projector! It was the best present ever! As a third grade they made me the sweetest book with letters from all the students. Reading through them brought tears to my eyes! I have learned so much being in this classroom. I don't know where I would be with out my amazing site teacher Tami! She has been teacher for 13 years and is absolutely amazing! I can only home to be as amazing as her some day! Thanks Tami! and Thank you to all my students for helping me learn!

Here is just a few things I was able to do with my students!

A science unit on the MOON and EARTH! Studying the surfaces, shapes, orbits, rotations, revolutions, and differences! I learned so much! It was a blast!

A math unit on MEASUREMENT!! Teaching Distance, Time, Weight, Mass, and Capacity all in both metric and customary measurements!

LOTS AND LOTS of READING UNITS!! We talked about verbs and combining sentences. Read stories to help us Infer about future events, talked about the sequence of events of stories and much much more!!

As you can tell I am really excited for SPRING! It is my favorite time of year! The tulips and daffodils start to come out of the frozen ground! The wonderful Holidays; St. Patty's Day, Easter, Spring Break, General Conference, Cinco de Mayo, and of coarse my BIRTHDAY!!

Everyone's attitudes start to perk up, people begin walking around the neighborhoods more, birds start chirping! It is just a fabulous time of year!
