Living a Nightmare....

Yesterday had to be one of the hardest days of my life! 

At work I got back from break at about 2:30pm My kids were still sound asleep during nap time when over the intercom came my assistant director saying, " CODE RED, Everyone Evacuate!"  At first I thought it was a drill and then I saw a bunch of firemen standing in our lobby!  Come to find out there is a natural gas leak, that could explode! It was on the corner of our parking lot! They evacuated the whole U of U campus, and multiple preschools!

 

Yes!! I had to awaken 12, 3 year olds get them in line and out the door. I lined them up counted them, grabbed their coats and got out the door to the back playground! From there we counted heads again! Luckily I grabbed coats because we were then evacuated not knowing where we were going! We usually would go across the street to the Pingree school! But they were also evacuated! So, Imagine this over 100 students ranging from 6 WEEKS to 6 years old walking almost a mile!! I had 12 kids to my self walking across the parking lot! Thru traffic across Guardsman Way down past Rowland Hall... To the corner of Sunnyside and Guardsman! We stood there not knowing where we were going! My kids were cold and not wanting to hold hands anymore! They did such a good job following directions! 

We continued our journey down busy 8th south(Sunnyside) I was so worried about my kids runny into the traffic! Some people are such jerky drivers! We got to the light kiddy corner to East highschool! As we were crossing the busy intersection one of my kids lost his shoe! All I could do is pick him up and keep going! Luckily another teacher picked them up! As we got to the corner where 7-11 is we waited for the light! It amazed me how rude drivers could be! The light went green and we began to cross! Imagine 2 teachers helping like 20, 2 and 3 year olds across 1300 east and 800 south! One of the busy intersections by campus! Just to prove how dumb drivers are before we had made even half way across a car turned right almost hitting a child! Scaring 3 others who stopped in the intersection and didn't want to walk! 

We finally made it to East High School everyone safe! I got to the stair well and said to my kids come give me a hug! That was the best feeling hug ever!! Knowing we had all gotten there safely! 

I have to say I am extremely proud of my self for not panicking! I still to this moment  want to break down and fall apart! I love all my kids as if they were my own! I can't even imagine how I would feel if I was a parent seeing my kids on the news walking the street!  

I just want to thank all the parents for their support! Today they provided us with food and snacks for the day! The most amazing fruit bouquet, eclairs, donuts, bagels and more!! 

I know I learned alot! I never want to be in that position alone again! 12 kids are too many by my self! I am grateful to the Lord for getting me through!!  I love my kids and co-workers! You were all amazing!!

Ok so My preschool class drove me crazy for the first little while! But now I love each of them! and their crazy personalities! Here are just a few pictures of them!!

This is Kolby playing in the leaves this fall! He is so cute! I got the best complement from him! He said that I was shrinking! It was great!

These two are twins (Obviously) They are so so cute! But Sachiye(Below) Wants to grow up and Amaya( Above) tells us she always wants to be a baby! She has SOOOO many accidents! 

J.J and Liam! Liam is no longer at my school! I am so sad! :( He was so freaking cute! J.J Drives me crazy! But on some occasions he is amazing! Like the other day I feel we made a break through! Usually he throws huge tempertantrums! But instead of screaming when I told him NO, ran to the corner and then turned around and said, "I am sorry Miss. Natalie!" I was so happy and excited I couldn't wipe the smile off my face! I guess all my ignoring him paid off!

OH TREY!! He is one of the best Tempered kids! You just have to love him! But sometimes he just goes nuts! and will not listen! You just have to know how to handle him!

I had one of the best days today! Probably because I was in a good mood! But I love going to work and seeing their faces! THey make me smile the things they say! Kids really do say the darnest things! 

My favorite is JJ singing Dancing queen! His Mom seriously is worried he is Gay! Ha ha!

Ok so WEDDING!! 

The biggest news is...a DIAMOND fell out of my ring! Not the big Diamond! One of the little ones on the side! I was almost in tears when I realized it!! Trent likes to blame it on PROVO! Cause that is where we were but who knows what happened! Luckily we have a friend in the diamond business! We took it to his brother and he sent it in to be fixed! SO I should have it back in a week or two!

The better NEWS!! We got Trent's ring! it is pretty cool! It is a non-scratch metal that if ever is scratched will be replaced! They also don't size it! They just send you a new one! So if Trent loses weight or gains weight or anything thing! They'll replace it!!

I got my dress! It is still at the shop! But I went and Tried it on just to make sure it was the right one! It FITS!! I was kinda disappointed because I remembered the train so much longer! But I still love it! NoW I am on the shoe hunt! I went Red Wedged heels!! 

My first shower is this weekend! It is a sorority shower for about 5 or 6 girls that are getting married! I am super excited to see my NU girls! 

I bought two colanders! Trent just laughs because I spend money on things that will probably be given to us! But I found my new favorite little store!! It is called "Hip and Humble" It has the cutest kitchen and house stuff! I could've spent so much more money there!! 

Well as many know we are looking forward to living in the Duplex that my parents own! But To our dismay they previous renters are still not out!! We have been trying to evict them since November! But they are either really smart or really stupid! We have yet to figure out! But of coarse Land Lords have no rights! So the process continues!!

I have kinda figured out the design of our cake! It is going to be square, four tiered, with the top tier separated!  The squares are going to be slightly crooked!  My co-worker is actually making the cake so I am pretty excited! She is doing a cake tasting on the 16th! So I am looking forward to that!!

Well that is the news thus far!!

I have 82 work out days to tone up! So wish me luck!

2 months, 5 days until HAWAII!

3 months, 8 days! Until I marry the man of My DREAMS!

NO VOICE!!

Well for 2 days now I haven't had a voice! It is kinda sad! Monday at work I was chasing the kids around the playground trying to kid exercise and I guess the cold air got to me! I went inside to read a book and there my voice stopped working! Not so good when you teach 3 year olds!

Tuesday I went to work and the kids were so understanding! It was awesome they were so quiet all day long because I couldn't talk! My co-worker came back (she had been in kindergarten where she is moving permanently next week) and the kids attitudes changed! It was like they felt her negativity! It is always this way! She is such a pessimistic person! It is really hard to work around! But I just try an remain positive!

Today I decided to stay home! With no voice it is really hard to teach! SO yeah I have been relaxing, exercising, cleaning! and yes blog and facebook hopping!  My voice is starting to come back but not quite all the way! It is seriously sad when you are listening to music and you go to sing and nothing comes out!!

With losing my voice I can't help but be grateful for all the awesome things you can do to communicate these days! Computers, facebook, text messaging, blogging... this list goes on and on!! 

So hopefully my voice comes back soon or else I am not going to be a happy camper!
